On Saturday, November 30, the biomethane plant of Azienda Agricola Bagnod was officially inaugurated, with ENGIE proudly participating as a partner. Acting as a Green Midstreamer, ENGIE has secured a long-term purchase agreement for biomethane and Guarantees of Origin eligible under the EU-ETS framework. This pioneering facility—the first of its kind in Italy under the 2022 Ministerial Decree—began producing biomethane for industrial use on October 2, 2024. It represents a significant step forward in Italy’s renewable energy transition, showcasing innovation and sustainability in action.
