ENGIE Global Energy Management & Sales is delighted to announce the naming ceremony of the eco-LNG carrier Gordon Waters Knutsen. This vessel represents a significant milestone in meeting France’s and Europe’s liquified natural gas import needs. Gordon Waters Knutsen, owned and managed by Knutsen OAS Shipping and its local French affiliate, will proudly fly the French flag as it joins ENGIE’s LNG carrier fleet in July 2023. With a length of about 300 meters and a capacity of 174,000 cubic meters, this state-of-the-art vessel is equipped with the latest LNG shipbuilding technology. Her features, such as MAN MEGA engines, shaft generators, reliquefication module, Air Lubrication System, and low boil-off GTT tanks, contribute to lower greenhouse gas emissions. The vessel’s construction adheres to stringent environmental standards, aligning with ENGIE’s vision of sustainability.
